Honestly, I really don't see why LBJ may join the Spurs. First, its location is not really convenient (far away from his family in Cleveland & his business in LA, while Philadelphia is next to Ohio). Second, it's a small market (Cleveland is also small, but it's his home town!). Third, Texas is a republican dominant state (mostly pro Trump, worse than Ohio), so even though Popovich is also critical of Trump, it might not be good enough to play in such state (we all know about LBJ's political opinion, there was even talk that LBJ wants to leave because of Dan Gilbert's pro Trump position). Fourth, even with the addition of LBJ, I don't think that they will be good enough to win the championship. LBJ understands the importance of 3's in this era, and the Spurs are no longer a strong 3's team. ... |
